Who Runs this joint?

Hi there! I go by many nicknames now a days such as Slam Jams (Jam), Freaky Mochas (freakmoch), Jiri, IrisBold, Muffy, Starla Nightingale... and many, many more. My true name is held only for the closest of friends, so you may call me whatever you feel is best. The reason for this is that over the years, I let friends nickname me whatever they wanted, so I've collected a ton of different names, all uniquely to my friend groups, all tied to me. Its like a little charm that reminds me of who I am.

I'm 31 years old, a Non-Binary BJD turned Web Mage, Book Binder, Pizza Slapper, Barista, Web Assistant... I kinda made a meme in 2010 too. The best things I could say that describe me... are optimistic, weird, and creative. I have a hard time really describing myself, but I know I'm a whole lot of things in one little neat package, and I hope it'll never change.

I currently work as a book binder, with the rest of my free time eaten up by playing Second Life or Minecraft. I like playing Rhythm, Atelier, & Farming Games, Riichi Mahjong or Princess Maker in my spare time. I also watch vtubers from time to time, my 'kamioshis' being Machina x Flayon and Yuno Hanaki.

Why Code?

I've been coding since I was 9, way back in 2003. I garnered a love for Web Coding and Design all because I put sailormoon.com into the address bar... and a website popped up with Sailor Moon on it! (at the time it was an e-mail service, now i'm not quite sure what it is anymore lol) Because of that one singular interaction, I began web developing my own sites up to the one you see now. I still wish I had my old sites, but even my original freewebs got wiped last year. :(

A fun little fact about me: I got my real love for machine coding from one, singular place: scripting NPCs for Ragnarok Online servers. Ragnarok Online was my very first MMO, and the community that I was in was like a big family to me. LUA coding at age 11 was wild but fun! I hope they are all doing well.

Why run an "Archive"?

The problem I keep running into my whole life, starting with my own website suddenly being cut in 2010, is that things on the internet get taken down randomly and within an instant, without say or thought put into it. So I save just about everything that I come accross that I like. I am a huge "digital hoarder" - I have about 4 different external hard drives chock full of everything I've ever digitally owned since I was 13, my oldest having a huge fault and won't open (Do not let Windows fix your drives- even on a misclick. That was my biggest mistake.)

I also have severe memory problems, and these digital "mementos" are what help me remember things, evern if its just a silly little meme.

This is my biggest reason for archiving things, and I hope it inspires you to one day make an archive your own.
